Robust Machanism put in place to tackle Corona Virus Infection in Pulwama

Stringent action against overpricing and hoarding of Sanitisers and Masks: District Magistrate

District Administration Pulwama has put in place a robust mechanism to tackle the threat of the Corona Virus in the district on Thursday.

In this regard screening camps and Help desks equipped with doctors and technical staff have been deputed at different locations particularly a Railway stations, Toll Plaza and main Entry points to the district. While as sufficient quarantine wards have been kept ready in all Tehsils of the district.

Meanwhile more than 40 surveillance teams have been already constituted for thermal screening of the individuals especially having travel history of highly affected countries. While as Rapid Response Teams are working in unison with the surveillance teams which report on daily basis.

Various Mobile squads comprising the officials from Drug, F&CS, Revenue and Metrology departments are monitoring the overpricing of masks and sanitizers in different market places of the district.

District Administration has asked people not to panic as there is no dearth of masks and sanitizers in the District as ample stocking has already been put in place and more 1.5 lac sanitisers would be added to the stock within a couple of days.

District Administration has warned the traders and stockists to abstain from overcharging and hoarding of Sanitisers and Masks as all orders related to preparedness, mitigation & tackling of COVID-19 shall be construed as passed under Disaster Management Act by District Magistrate and non compliance shall invite penal provisions under section 61 & 65
