Div Com reviews health care services in Jammu province
Seeks close monitoring of Covid containment zones


JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 22: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma on Tuesday chaired a meeting of Deputy Commissioners, Health officers and other concerned through video conferencing to review the Health care services in the Jammu province, with special focus on Covid control measures.
The Div Com e-reviewed measures put in place by the health institutions and stressed upon proper monitoring of home quarantined Covid-19 patients. He directed the concerned authorities to make all facilities like pulse checking oximeters, medicines etc available to them.
While reviewing the facilities being provided to patients, Div Com asked the Deputy Commissioners to ensure strict enforcement of the SOPs and guidelines . He further said that there is a dire need to restrict the movement of positive persons by strict enforcement of protocol and going for administrative quarantine, if required.
The Div Com, while taking stock of the supply position of Oxygen Cylinders, Flow meters, pulse Oximeters in the Districts, instructed the Deputy Commissioners to project their demand to JK medical Supplies and keep buffer stock available with them.
Mr. Verma emphasised upon all Deputy Commissioners to accommodate maximum covid patients in designated Covid Care Centres (CCCs) so that they get all medical facilities. He also gave on spot directions for free passage to be given to the vehicles carrying oxygen cylinders.
The Div Com instructed DCs to ensure coordinated efforts and monitoring and check on rumour mongering. He asked DCs to hold meetings with the respective CMOs to carry out an audit to identify deficiencies, if any.
Among others the meeting was attended by Lab Coordinator J&K UT Control Room GMC, Dr. Jitender Mehta; Medical Superintendent Dr Keerti Bushan Sharma; CMO , Jammu, Dr J P; Dy Director DHSJ, Dr Sanjay Sharma and other health officers.
