Government Polytechnic Jammu inks MoU with ICT Academy Chennai


JAMMU, FEBRUARY 25: Government Polytechnic College Jammu today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICT Academy, Chennai to enhance the skills of the polytechnic students in latest technologies for better employability.
The MoU has been signed under Jammu & Kashmir Employability Enhancement Training (JEET) scheme sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The MoU was signed in presence of Sajad Hussain Ganai), Director Skill Development Department, J&K Government, between Er Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic Jammu and Lovetesh Kumar, Project Manager, ICT Academy.
Director Skill Development, J&K said that the purpose of this MoU with ICT Academy under Jammu & Kashmir Employability Enhancement Training (JEET) scheme, sponsored by AICTE for J&K UT is to enhance the competency of the Engineering and Technical students by imparting skill training on latest technologies through ICT Academy. He further congratulated the college for being the 1st Polytechnic of J&K to ink MoU with ICT Academy and start JEET scheme in the institute for the benefit of students. He instructed to train the students in such a way that they will get job after successful completion of the course.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal of college said that selected skill oriented courses such as Machine Leaning, Artificial intelligence, Fusion 360, Cloud practioners etc by the college are in the vast interest of the students, for self-employability and reliability, with the changing trends of the contemporary technological world and these courses will make students industry ready.
Lovetesh Kumar, Project Manager and Arvind from ICT Academy gave a presentation focusing on the benefits, beneficiaries, and the process about JEET and the reach of ICT academy Chennai, (An Initiative of Government of India, State Governments and Industry). Er Shokat Ali of Computer Engineering Department provided the technical support and assigned the duties as coordinator for JEET Scheme.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by HODs, Er Inderjeet Singh, Er Zia-ul Haq Kohli, Er Kuldeep Bhatia, Ar Ritika Wadera, Sanjay Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Tariq Amin, Sukhdeep Singh, Rajeev Kohli, Ms Vinay Gupta and Rajesh Khajuria.
