Action initiated against Covid-19 SOPs violators, FIR lodged at Hermain, Shopian

SHOPIAN, AUGUST 10 ( KINS ): Continuing its efforts to prevent the outbreak of 3rd wave of Covid-19, the District Administration Shopian has enhanced its efforts to sensitize the masses about controlling the highly contagious coronavirus pandemic.

As part of an exercise to prevent violation of CAB, SOPs, the District Administration Shopian today ordered lodging of FIR and taking strict action against people who were found not wearing face masks and violating social distancing norms during a cricket match at Hermain, Shopian.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya who had visited Hermain, warned of strict action under rules against the violators for violating Covid protocols at Shopian.

Meanwhile, the special drive against the violators of COVID-19 guidelines/ rules continued throughout the district Shopian to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by the government to curb Covid-19 pandemic.

The DC appealed people to adhere to the guidelines in letter and spirit as to prevent themselves and their family from contracting virus as life is precious. He also warned those found violating the SOPs adding that violators will be punished, brought to book and also fined.
