DM Shopian reviews Migrants complaints

Shopian , Sep 25 ( KINS): The District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting at Mini Secretariat here to take detailed review of the Migrant complaints received through the online portal of Kashmiri Migrants Immovable Properties/Community Assets related to grievances redressal.

It was given out in the meeting that a total of 307 grievances/ Complaints have so far been received through the grievances portal, out of which 113 have already been disposed of and the other grievances are under process for disposal.

It was also given out that most of the grievances pertain to encroachment on the Migrant land alienation by distress sale and demarcation of Migrant land.

The District Magistrate passed orders, wherein Tehsildars were directed to take the custody of the Migrant land, where encroachments have been established on spot.

A dedicated Migrant Grievance Cell has already been established in the District Magistrate’s Office at Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian for speedy disposal of the grievances.

The District Magistrate (Custodian Migrant Property) directed all the Tehsildars to verify each and every complaint thoroughly as per the records available on spot inspection and dispose of the same within the time frame as per Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA).

Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shopian and all the Tehsildars of District Shopian attended the meeting. ( KINS)
