Indian Army conducts Volleyball tournament

Rajouri , Sept 30 ( KINS) Indian Army conducted a ‘Volleyball Tournament at Krishna Ghati (Achhad), Rajouri (J&K). The tournament witnessed the participation of eight Volleyball teams from Rajouri District. The purpose of organising such event is to encourage the youth to display their sports potential and pursue sports as a career. These matches were organised to inculcate the values of sportsmanship amongst Village youth and for promoting sports activities in this region. Matches were conducted on league basis. In strongly contested Final match, played between Mendhar Volleyball Club and Titan Volleyball Club the players displayed their sporting skills and gave pitched fight for each and every point. Mendhar Volleyball Club won the finals. Jubilant spectators throughout cheered with the towering themes. Winner and Runner up teams were given trophies. The players were  presented with sports kits, jerseys and medals for their splendid performance. The youth and the villagers expressed their gratitude to Indian Army in promoting sports in the remote area.( KINS)
