DC Doda discusses modalities for formally naming Govt Institutions/ Assets on the name of Martyrs, Eminent personalities

DODA, NOVEMBER 09 ( KINS): Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma, today chaired the meeting of heads of the Educational institutions and stakeholder departments to discuss the preparations for the grand launch of the names of Government institutions and assets on  the names of the Martyrs, Eminent personalities in the district and directed by UT Govt.

Speaking at the meeting the DC said that it is the encouraging initiative by the UT Govt of J&K to name Government institutions after the names of Martyrs and eminent personalities as a mark of respect and honour. He informed that in the first instance four institutions of the district would be named after the Martyrs and gallantry award recipients.

In this regard, the DC directed the Officials to start the preparations for the grand launching ceremony of these institutions. The   DPO Doda was asked to arrange the things at all these venues in coordination with SDM and concerned Tehsildars for the smooth conduct of the program for which the date shall be notified separately.

Moreover, the DC asked to invite all the PRI members including Panches, Sarpanches, BDC Chairpersons, DDC members for the occasion. It was informed that the Chief Guest will be family members of the Martyrs to give them respect and honour and to make them feel special and proud.

The meeting was attended by ASP Bhaderwah, CPO Doda, DIO Doda, CEO Doda, Principal GDC Kastigarh, besides other officials of Army and other institutions. ( KINS)
