Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Reaches jamm to review security situation

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh after arriving in Jammu immediately proceeded to Rajouri to assess the situation in the Rajouri-Poonch region. The urgency stemmed from the recent ambush in Dera ki Gali, Rajouri district, claiming the lives of four soldiers earlier this week.

Accompanied by Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Singh touched down in Jammu early in the morning, where they were warmly received by Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha. An official statement confirmed that, without delay, Singh, along with the Army chief, Lt Governor Sinha, and other high-ranking officials, headed to Rajouri to comprehensively evaluate the ongoing anti-terror operation in the region.
