Tarun Vijay Applauds PM Modi’s Decision to Confer Bharat Ratna on ‘Saviour of Kashmir’ Advani’

Srinagar, Feb 05: Former MP and Sindhu Darshan founder, Tarun Vijay, expressed his appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to honor LK Advani with the Bharat Ratna.
The statement issued to KINS reads, “ Tarun Vijay, who has dedicated himself to preserving Kashmir’s cultural identity, sees this recognition as a tribute to those, like Advani, who devoted their lives to national unity, following the path of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee”.

Tarun Vijay, who collaborated with Advani in initiating the Sindhu Darshan Yatra in Ladakh to celebrate the River Indus (Sindhu), remarked that this honor underscores Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to acknowledging the contributions of elders who served Mother India. Advani, a key figure in the initiation of the Sindhu Darshan Yatra, holds a special place in his heart for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.
“A poignant reminder of this connection is a picture presented by Tarun Vijay to Advani, proudly displayed in his living room, depicting the leader standing on the banks of the River Indus. This iconic image, captured in 1996 and later transformed into a painting by renowned artist Satish Chauhan, symbolizes the deep connection and commitment of leaders like Advani to the rich cultural heritage of the region”.
