Forces lay siege over Kulgam village, clashes erupt

Kulgam: Clashes have erupted in Ghat Khudwani area of Kulgam between protesting youth  and government forces as they were laying siege over the area on Saturday.

According to police sources the Cordon and Search Operation was launched in the area  after inputs of militants presence in the area.

Police,  Army and CRPF are jointly conducting the anti militancy operation.

According to locals as forces laid siege over the area blocking entry and exit points youth took to streets and clashed with forces.

Forces retaliated with using tear gas to disperse the growing protesters.

The operation was going on in the area when last reports came in.
