Kashmir: Light to moderate rain, snowfall expected in next 24 hrs says weatherman

Srinagar:  Meteorological Department on Thursday said that light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected to lash Valley next 24 hours and maximum & minimum temperatures in Srinagar will be around 15°C & 06°C respectively.

“Light to moderate rain, thundershowers and snow is predicted for next 24 hours at widespread places in Kashmir region and fairly widespread places in Jammu region as well as at scattered places in Ladakh region,” Weatherman said.

The department further said that for subsequent two days fairly widespread light to moderate rain, thurdershowers and snow is expected.

“Local forecast of Srinagar for 02.11.2018 is light rain and snow with maximum & minimum temperatures around 15°C & 06°C respectively,” an official said.

For Jammu weatherman predicted partly cloudy sky to light rain and thundershowers.

“Maximum & Minimum temperatures will be around 26°C & 170C respectively,” he added.

“Forecast of leh for tomorrow is light snowfall with maximum & minimum temperatures around 08˚C & -03°C respectively,” he said.
