CUK suspends classwork for Nowgam-I, Nowgam-III campuses from Nov 14 to 16

Srinagar: The Central University of Kashmir on Tuesday ordered the suspension of classes for Nowgam-I, Nowgam-III campuses from Nov 14 to 16.

The order comes in the wake of protest that have rocked the campuses against the detention of a student of the varsity.

Today also protests were held in the Nowgam campus against the detention of varsity’s political science department student by Jammu and Kashmir police.

A communique of the varsity said the classwork of all the teaching departments in Nowgam-I and Nowgam-III campuses of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) shall remain suspended on 14th, 15th and 16th of November, 2018.
