If Ladakh is given divisional status, so should get Pir Panchal and Chenab Valley, says Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said that Governor Satya Pal Malik was encroaching the democratic space in the state.

Mehbooba said that the governor is issuing orders that are not in the favour of common man.

She said that if Ladakh is given a divisional status then Pir Panchal, and Chenab Valley should also be given the same status or else the local parties will start an agitation.

Reacting to the former Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu’s decision to resign from the Peoples Democratic Party, Mehbooba said: “I am sad at his departure. He was called by Mufti Sahab with love. Anyway, I wish him good luck.”
