Gunshots heard as forces launch cordon-and-search operation in Baramulla village

Baramulla, Dec 30 : Gunshots heard as forces launched cordon-and-search operation in North Kashmir’s Baramulla village this evening.

Reports said that amid gunshots forces launched a search operation in Dandmoh village of Kreeri on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile,a source said that the area continues to be under forces’ siege and there was no exchange of gunfire

A senior police official also confirmed this news and said that a joint team of army’s, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police cordoned off the area following specific inputs about the presence of some militants. He said no contact with militants were established were established as of now.
