Kashmir valley receives fresh snowfall

Srinagar, Jan 02 : Kashmir Valley, including summer capital Srinagar and other plain areas, received fresh snowfall on Wednesday.

The 40-day period of harshest winter already begin in valley last month on 21 December even as the minimum temperatures rose by several degrees to provide relief from the intense cold conditions especially in Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar.

Pertinently traffic on the only National Highway which connects valley with the rest of world has been blocked at many places due to snowfall.
