Srinagar, Jan 14 : Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Satya Pal Malik on Monday refuted the existence of ‘operation-all-out’ and said that militants can’t achieve anything on the path they have chosen and asked them to return, saying his administration will take every possible step for them.
Governor while talking to reporters in Jammu said that the forces always reciprocate when they are being attacked by the militants. “I believe the militants won’t achieve anything on the path they have chosen but should return. We will take every possible step for their wellbeing.”
The Governor who was reacting on ‘Operation-all-out’ further stated that ‘I refute the existence of operation-all-out and there is nothing like that but anybody using bullets can’t expect flowers.”
About the statement truth and reconciliation promise by NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah, Governor Malik stated politicians have political compulsions, which he (Governor) respects.
“The politicians can go to any extent to seek votes and have many political compulsions. I respect their compulsions,” he said, adding that “I can’t speak anything over his statement as he is a senior politician.’
About the elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor said the state administration is ready to go for the polls but let Election Commission of India take a final call over it.
