Poonch, Jan 15 : A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) died of heart attack along Line of Control (LoC) in Mankote sector of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Local news agency quoted that the army officer Naib Subedar Rajinder Singh of 5 Mahar regiment posted along LoC near Sonawali Gali in Mankote fell unconscious while performing his duties today at around 7:30 am.
He said the JCO was immediately shifted to a nearby military hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Confirming the incident, a police officer told GNS that apparently the JCO died of cardiac arrest. (GNS)
