NC butchered Jamat cadre for power ‘Sent Pakistan Radio listeners to Jails’

Srinagar, Jan 21, : Coming down heavily on National Conference, Member of Legislative Council Yasir Reshi on Monday said that NC not only butchered the activists of Jamat-e-Islami for power but also damaged their orchards and set copies of holy Quran translated by Maulana Modudi (RA) on fire.

Reshi in a statement said that history is testimony to the fact how National Conference imprisoned those people from Kashmir who used to listen Pakistan Radio.

“National Conference had always been power hungry. This party befooled people from the pulpit of Hazratbal and used this platform for its interest. This party played with the sentiments of people of Kashmir,” he said.

Yasir Reshi said that Farooq Abdullah resorted to mass rigging in 1987 Assembly elections while Omar Abdullah proved to incapable and pushed youth to wall. “National Conference introduced everything against the interest of people. It was the brainchild of Task Force that let loose a reign of terror across Jammu and Kashmir. Farooq Abdullah paved the way for POTA to suppress people,” he said.

Yasir Reshi said that National Conference is responsible for implementing policies that went against the people of Kashmir. “This party pushed the youth to wall and forced them to pick up the gun. Farooq Abdullah made an army of government gunmen to kill Jamat-e-Islam and separatist leaders. He also propagated corruption and sold power projects of Kashmir Valley,” Reshi said.

Yasir Reshi said that Omar Abdullah could have easily halted the execution process of Muhammad Afzal Guroo but he didn’t because he was after power. “This party on the one hand helped  and supported plebiscite movement and Pakistan while on the other trained guns against Pakistan. The people of Kashmir are against any move that goes against Pakistan,” he said. (CNS)
