Srinagar, Feb 12 : Paying rich tributes to the martyr of Ratnipora Pulwama encounter, Hilal Ahmad Rather, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani said that everyday our youth are sacrificing their precious lives for the sacred cause of freedom from Indian clutches, making all of us duty bound to safeguard these sacrifices with utmost commitment and dedication to pursue this cause.
“India is suffering from arrogance of power and has tried its best to muzzle our voice—but has utterly failed to do so, and Indian might, its brutality can never deter us from our much cherished goal of right to self-determination,” said Hurriyat (G) Chairman.
Pro-freedom leader said that situation in the valley is worsening with each passing day and that Indian authorities rely on their military might to suppress people’s aspirations and muzzle voices.
Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman regretted that the stubborn attitude of India regarding this globally accepted political dispute and dealing with it only militarily has created death and destruction in whole state and peace and harmony of whole region is threatened. He said that with the resolution of this issue a new era of peace, stability and development will prevail not only in Jammu and Kashmir but in whole South Asia.
Meanwhile, “continuous bad weather, heavy snow fall and torrential rains for the last couple of weeks have created havoc in Jammu and Kashmir particularly the stranded passengers and their families, and callous and casual response from the administration has added to their miseries,” said Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani.
Expressing his grief and sorrow on the multifold problems faced by the people has exposed the tall claims of the establishment. He said that this unnatural road link is always under the harsh shadows of weather and it has consumed thousands of people in addition to the property worth millions. This deadly link sucks the blood of Kashmiris for the last 71 years and no year has passed when its connectivity is un-interrupted throughout the year.
Hurriyat (G) chairman said that thousands of fruit loaded trucks and their owners are stranded at the mercy of weather and poor and helpless fruit growers are made to watch their hard earned wealth, decaying in front of them.
He said that passengers waiting for the road to open are financially exhausted and instead of providing them food shelter, government has forced them to the mercy of the fascist and sick minded Hinduatwa preachers who thrashed and stoned these helpless people and made them to run for their life.
Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman said that every event in Jammu and Kashmir for the last 7 decades has proved the genesis and philosophy of two nation theory right. He further said when a yatra bus meets an accident in Kashmir, people come to their rescue and provide them every possible help, but when our people face any hardship outside, handful of venomous people try to take their revenge by harassing them.
Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has expressed his shock on the demise of Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Bashir-ud-din Farooqi and said that every living creature has to perish.
He said that deceased was not only a learned Islamic Scholar, but a noble and pious man as well. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. On the directions of Geelani Sahab Syed Naseem-u-Zaffer Geelani participated the nimaz-e-Jinaza of Mufti Bashir-ud-din Farooqi.
