UJC chief denounces attacks on Kashmiris, hails Sikhs

Srinagar, Feb 23: (GNS) “The inhuman attacks on Kashmiris across India has validated the Two Nation theory of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” said the Chairman of the United Jihad Council (UJC) Syed Salahuddin on Saturday.

Syed Salahuddin, according to a statement issued to GNS, made these remarks while chairing a high-level meeting of UJC.

During the meeting, the UJC chief also hailed the Sikh community and paid rich tributes to them for their attitude towards Kashmiris. “The Sikh brethren set a great example of brotherhood and solidarity by standing with Kashmiris. They made an unforgettable history,” he said.

Syed Salahuddin also thanked those leaders and intellectuals in India who “showed mirror” to the Government of India.

He urged the world community not to further delay the resolution to Kashmir dispute.

Syed Salahuddin, who is also the chairman of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, said if Kashmir issue is not resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of its people, it will continue to threaten the peace not only in South Asia but across the world.

He said it is New Delhi’s “stubborn” attitude that forces Kashmiri youth to take extreme steps. (GNS)
