Poonch parts shuts ahead of Supreme Court hearing on Article 35A

Jammu, Feb 25 : Mandi town of Poonch in Jammu region on Monday shuts against any attempts to scrap Article 35A in view of tomorrow’s hearing in Supreme Court.
The shops, business establishments, petrol pumps and educational institutions in the area are closed , The public and private transport is also off the roads. Only security force vehicles and some two-wheelers are plying on roads in the area.
The traders and members of religious bodies in Mandi have called for shutdown in favour of Article 35-A. The transporters from the area had also extended their support to the shutdown call and announced that no private passenger vehicle will ply on Monday.
