Geelani condemns 38th PSA on Masarat Alam, lauds his steadfastness

Srinagar: Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani on Thursday while condemning the slapping of 38th Public Safety Act on incarcerated Masarat Alam Bhat, lauded his commitment and steadfastness.

In a statement, Geelani said that it is a sheer political vengeance and a vile act of trampling the freedom of expression and civil liberty of a renowned political leader, like Masrat Aalam Bhat.

The octogenarian leader expressed his confidence that these “brazen and illegal methods” used to prolong the detention of Masrat Aalam Bhat shall not deter him from the ongoing freedom movement.
