URI : In an effort to reach out to the young budding minds of the area and to give them an opportunity to experience the beauty of Kashmir during winters, Army’s 8 RR Madraas Uri organised a Capacity Building Tour Uri to Gulmarg.
The CBT was flagged by Breg Sandeep Jaiswal , Col Vivek in presence of other army officials.
A total of 21 boys of various ages and few teachers including Army officials enjoyed and admired the natural beauty of the place. They also visited Maharaja’s Palace which gave them an insight into the rich Kashmiri legacy, history and Kashmiriyat.
The participants were grateful and happy to be a part of the CBT and requested the Army to organize more such events in future. The opportunity was also utilised to discuss the importance of studies and hard work for a brighter future.
Meanwhile students while expressing happiness after visited the famous resort Gulmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district said that these tours should be continue in near future also so that through these tours we will get exposure. They also urged Army to extend these tours through National level so that they ll be able to known many other states also.
