Police organizes Range Level Talent Hunt Programme held under the aegis of “Choona Hai Aasmaan”

February 27: Police organized Range level Talent Hunt programme under the banner of “Choona Hai Aasmaan” at Tagore Hall Srinagar.

The programme was held so as to provide a platform for youth to showcase their skills. The winners of District Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal were the participants at the event.

The competition was listed in three age categories viz, 5-12 years, 13-18 years and 19-25 years.

DIG CKR Srinagar Shri M. Suleman Choudhary-IPS was the chief guest besides SSP Srinagar Dr. M Haseeb Mughal-JKPS, SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Poswal-JKPS and other senior police officers were also present on the occasion.

SSP Srinagar in his welcome address gave the brief details of the programmes scheduled at the event. He also welcomed the chief guest, jury members and other senior police officers who were present at the event.

Speaking on the occasion DIG CKR Srinagar, praised the contestants for their exemplary skills and talent. He underscored the purpose for organizing such events besides, emphasized that J&K police is committed to provide platform to talented people especially youth in various fields. He further added that the sole objective of these programmes is to explore the hidden talent of the youth and project them at regional and national level.

Three winners from each category were conferred with cash prize of Rs.7000, Rs.5000 and Rs. 3000 each respectively. In the age group of 5-12 years Rahil Ali from Budgam, Tahreen from Srinagar and Maviya Imtiyaz from Srinagar, in the Age group of 13-18 years Jureeda Rehman from Srinagar, Snowber Gul and Shazia Nabi from Budgam, while in the age group of 19-25 years Junaid Ahmed from Srinagar, Saima from Budgam and Mir Ashraf from Srinagar were declared as the winners.

Pertinently, the winners will now get a chance to compete at higher level and showcase their skills at a bigger platform.
