On world women’s day BJP leaders distribute free sanitizers, masks at LD hospital

Srinagar, March 08: In a goodwill gesture on the eve of international women’s day, Bhartiya Janata Party leaders led by Altaf Thakur today distributed free face masks and sanitizers among the patients and attendents at maternity hospital Lala Ded in Srinagar in the wake of coronavirus scare.

In a statement issued here, besides Thakur, other BJP leaders who participated in the free distribution of masks and sanitizers include district president Srinagar Arif Rana, vice president Ashok Bhat and others. Two women leaders of the party also participated in the humanely gesture that include Sumaira Shah and Rashida Mir.

Thakur said that patients and attendants at the LD hospital hailed the move and appreciated the step taken by the BJP leaders. He said BJP choose LD hospital on the eve of world womens day to extend a helping hand to the patients and needy at the hospital.
