Former TA soldier shot at in Kulgam, injured

Srinagar, April 12 : Suspected militants on Sunday shot at a former Territorial Army (TA) soldier in Buchroo area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir.

A police officer told news agency that the suspected militants fired upon Abdul Hamid Matoo at Buchroo village this evening.

Hamid, suffered serious bullet wounds and was shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Qaimoh for treatment where from he was referred to GMC Anantnag in critical conditions. A doctor at PHC Qaimoh told that Hamid had received two bullet wounds.

Soon after the incident, the officer said security forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants. (GNS)
