Baramulla, Oct 02 (KINS): Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) Baramulla has raised concerns over difficulties reportedly being faced by teachers in the processing of cases under the one-time exemption scheme across the district.
JKTA Baramulla District President Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat said reports indicate that some Zonal Education Offices, including Tangmarg, have not forwarded all the files for further processing, leaving several teachers facing uncertainty despite submitting their cases through proper channels.
Bhat said that if the reports are found to be correct, the matter should be examined by the competent authorities and necessary corrective measures taken.
“Teachers should not suffer because of delays or negligence at the office level. If any eligible teacher’s file has not been forwarded by the concerned office, the matter must be investigated and corrective measures taken without further delay,” Bhat said.
He also appreciated JKECC Chairman and JKTA President Shah Fayaz for raising the issue of extending the deadline for submission of observations on one-time exemption cases.
Bhat urged the authorities to obtain a zone-wise status of pending files, identify reasons for non-forwarding and ensure that all eligible cases are processed fairly and within the prescribed timeline.
He also appealed to the concerned authorities to consider the difficulties faced by teachers and provide sufficient time so that no eligible teacher is left out due to administrative delays.(KINS)
