Militants lob grenade on police, CRPF deployment in Pulwama

Srinagar, May 2 : Militants on Saturday evening lobbed a grenade on government forces deployment in Tahab area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.

Reports reaching said that the suspected militants hurled a grenade on the joint team of police and CRPF deployed at Tahab Chowk. However, the device missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside.

“The security personnel fired some aerial gunshots. However there was no immediate report of any causality on either side,” they said.

A police officer also confirmed the attack and said that a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers. (GNS)
