160 students to return from bangladesh today, ‘more flights next week’

Srinagar, May 09 (KINS): The government said that first flight with over 160 students from Bangladesh is set to land in Srinagar later today.


Government officials told news agency KINS that 160 students to return from Bangladesh today in the afternoon and that they are expecting more flighst with other stranded people next week.


Nearly 2800 stranded people arrived yesterday via Lakhanpur. “Over 3000 students, labourers, others from Panjab, Himachal, Chandigarh, Haryana, Utrakand are expected today” sources said.


Sources said that total number of returnees now are over 33000. The government has also appreciated the people for their patience and cooperation.


Jammu and Kashmir Union territory government official spokesperon Rohit Kansal has also confirmed that first flight with over 160 students from Bangladesh set to land in Srinagar later today. (KINS)
