Police facilitates COVID Warriors across Kashmir Valley

Srinagar May 27: In order to show solidarity and support to COVID warriors including doctors, paramedic staff, nurses, and other frontline workers, J&K Police have facilitated them across Kashmir Valley, a police spokesperson in a statement said. 


In Anantnag, SSP Anantnag Sandeep Chowdhary (IPS)  along with his team visited (GMC) Government Medical College Anantnag and conveyed appreciation to all the COVID warriors for their role during this tough period. He also chaired a meeting to discuss the issues regarding facilitating the movement of doctors and paramedic staff. 


In Awantipora, SSP Awantipora Tahir Saleem-JKPS visited SDH Tral and Block Medical Office Tral and presented sweets & bouquet of flowers to BMO Tral Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik and Medical Superintendent Dr. Verinder Singh for the excellent service rendered by doctors fraternity during ongoing pandemic COVID 19.


In Bandipora, a special solidarity event was held at DPL Bandipora. The event was chaired by SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik (IPS), besides senior officers of police, health department including doctors, paramedics and jawans were also present. SSP Bandipora while addressing them appreciated the contribution of all frontline workers especially doctors, paramedic staff who are working tirelessly in containment efforts against Coronavirus along with police. As a goodwill gesture flower bouquets were presented to Covid warriors. 


In Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal-JKPS SSP Ganderbal along with his team visited District Hospital Ganderbal where he presented flowers and sweets to Doctors and other COVID-19 warriors as a token of love &appreciation from J&K Police and appreciation. SSP Ganderbal also added that all naka parties have been briefed to facilitate the smooth passage of COVID warriors across the District.


 In Srinagar, police teams from Police Station Rajbagh made a goodwill gesture by presenting flowers and welcoming Doctors at Lalded Hospital Srinagar. “For hassle-free movement of all essential services and an effort to improve coordination between different government agencies, Srinagar Police is committed in its promise to render all possible help,” the statement said. 


Police have assured full cooperation to all essential services and reiterated its stand to render their service and support to all in these tough times.
