Agri Deptt introduces mobile sale of vegetables

SRINAGAR, JUNE 02: As a Part of initiatives to reach out to the common citizens of the valley, the Agriculture Department Kashmir has procured many Mobile Refrigerated Vans which are being extensively used under present environment for carrying of fresh vegetables from the field to market and sold on subsidy rates so that the ill-effects of Covid-19 are mitigated to some extent.

The Director Agriculture Kashmir recently observed the sale of vegetables from one of such refrigerated van at Lalmandi Srinagar and instructed to the field staff to improve its delivery system so that on one hand a good price is received by the vegetables growers & on the other hand the consumers can get fresh vegetables on subsidized rates.
