COVID-19 unlock: DC B’la reviews implementation of SOPs, guidelines

BARAMULLA, JUNE 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today inspected several locations of Baramulla town to review implementation of SOPs and guidelines issued in the wake of administrative decision of unlocking COVID-19 lockdown.

The DC took a detailed appraisal of the situation during which he emphasized upon following guidelines in letter and spirit, he directed the concerned agencies to ensure that all SOPs especially odd-even system of shops, social distancing, using of face masks are being followed by all the stakeholders.

Dr Itoo exhorted upon the shopkeepers to abide by the guidelines issued by the administration in the interest of public health and added that such measures were taken to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 infection.

Meanwhile, DC also inspected some clinics, nursing homes and other medical stores to take firsthand appraisal of the situation, he stressed upon them to follow all SOPs the failure of which shall render strict legal action.

Dr Itoo also urged the people to use face masks and avoid unnecessary travel and gatherings to prevent themselves from any kind of eventuality.
