Civilian injured in Kupwara cross border shelling succumbs

Kupwara, August 07(KINS): A 40-year-old civilian who was injured in a cross border shelling along the line of control (LOC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district succumbed to his injures this evening.

An official told KINS that a civilian identified as Mohammad Arif son of Alif Din of Shamaspura Baghbela Karnah succumbed to his injures at Kupwara hospital this evening.

The officer however, said the other five persons who were injured in cross border shelling at LOC Kupwara are said to be stable.

A police officer also confirmed to KINS about the death of one civilian.

Pertinently, On Friday Indo-Pak armies exchanged gunfire along LOC in Kupwara resulting in Injuries to at least six civilians who were taken shifted to Kupwara hospital for treatment. (KINS)
