Meeting to discuss Covid-19 containment measures held at Kulgam

Kulgam April 20 (KINS): In view of the surge in Covid-19 cases, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of District Development Council members at Mini-Secretariat, here.
District Development Chairperson, Mohammad Afzal Parray, Vice Chairperson, Shazia Jan and other members of the Council attended the meeting.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held about the measures required to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
On the occasion, the DC highlighted the measures that have been put in place by district administration to contain the spread of Coronavirus infection.
It was also informed that there is availability of more than 110 high flow oxygen beds besides 2 covid care centers have also been established in the district.
It was also given out that aggressive testing is being carried out across the district and testing centers for migrant labourers have been established at all entry points in the district.
The DC also highlighted the role of DDC members in strengthening the efforts of the district administration to contain the spread of CoronaVirus infection in the district.
He further urged these members to motivate and mobilize the general public for Covid-19 vaccination which he termed as pivotal to fight the pandemic.
The DDC members assured the Deputy Commissioner of their full support in Covid-19 mitigation efforts.
Earlier a briefing was carried out highlighting the role of DDC members and PRI’s in formulation of Developmental plans. (KINS)
