‘Drone spotted over Dal Lake,’ says IGP Kashmir

Jammu : Vijay Kumar, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Zone, on Tuesday revealed that a drone was spotted over Dal Lake earlier today. The Jammu and Kashmir Police have confiscated it and filed an FIR, said Kumar.

The IGP Kashmir added that an investigation into the matter is underway. This may be noted that two explosives-laden drones had crashed into the high-security Indian Air Force station at the Jammu airport on Sunday. After the terror attack, two separate drone activities were thwarted at Jammu’s Ratnuchak-Kaluchak Military Station. More suspected drone activity was recorded in Kunjwani late Monday night.

Calling drone attack a “technological threat”, Kumar said they will be “responding to it with technology”.

“We had a meeting at 15 Core Headquarters regarding the same yesterday,” he further informed. ( Source Times NOW )
