Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha summons J&K Legislative Assembly session on October 23

Srinagar, Sept 27 (KINS): The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has officially summoned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Srinagar.

The notification as per news agency KINS, issued today by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, invokes the powers of the Lieutenant Governor under Section 18(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019. All Assembly members have been requested to attend the session in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.

Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, had recommended that the Assembly be convened on October 13, but the LG finalized the date as October 23.(KINS)
