DC Budgam reviews progress of construction works of Health Sector

BUDGAM, JULY 09(KINS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today chaired a meeting here to take stock of ongoing construction projects of the Health department in the district.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed that construction work at all  designated sites should be completed within stipulated time failing which necessary action as warranted under law shall be initiated against erring contractors or officials concerned.

 

He instructed all executing agencies to expedite the construction works and ensure deadlines fixed for various projects are adhered to in letter and spirit.

 

The meeting was informed that among 45 Health Wellness Centers approved for the district, most of the centers have been completed in all respects while construction, wall paint, paintings, logo marking and fencing of some centers is only pending.

 

The DC took detailed review of all 45 HWCs and instructed the Executing agency and BMO concerned to compulsorily visit the construction site once in a month to take stock of ongoing work and monitor progress.

 

The meeting was informed that 10 Languishing projects concerning the health department out of total 27 have been completed and work on remaining projects is going on in full swing.

 

The DC further said that all Covid-19 and Non Covid-19 activities by the health Department should go on without any laxity to ensure better health facilities and other necessities in hospitals to the patients across the district.

 

Among others, the meeting was attended by CPO Budgam, CMO, Ex. Engineer of R&B, officials of J&K Housing Board, JKPCC, BMOs and other concerned. (KINS)
