Katra tops UT list in CHC category, DH Reasi emerges second best

DC hails Health Department for exceptional performance

REASI, JULY 28 ( KINS ): As per the final results of Kayakalp Assessment 2021 of health facilities of the UT, district Reasi performed exceptionally well by bagging top most position in Community Health Centre Category and second best in District Hospital Category.

CHC Katra topped the CHCs category after facing tough competition from CHC Pattan, whereas DH Reasi bagged second best position in the entire UT losing out to DH Udhampur by just 3 points and PHC Ransoo topped in the PHC categories within the Reasi District.

Pertinent to mention here that the awards are conferred to the Hospitals on the basis of the performance on various parameters like Upkeep, Sanitation and hygiene , Waste Management , Infection control, Support Services and  Hygiene Promotion.

The awards entail a prize money in each category. CHC Katra will get Rs. 15 lakh prize money, DH Reasi will get Rs. 3 lakh and PHC Ransoo will get Rs. 2 lakh. DH Reasi has achieved first position in 2020 and was awarded Rs. 50 lakh.

The DC Reasi congratulated Chief Medical Officer, incharges of the health institutions and their teams who were declared winners and also urged them to continue this spirit of maintaining the quality standards   so that more institutions of Reasi District qualify under this programme next year.
