Police seize tent pitched outside slain HM militant’s house in Pulwama

Srinagar, Aug 21 (KINS)  Jammu and Kashmir police has seized a tent pitched outside the residence of a slain Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant Musaib Ahmad Bhat who was killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama on Friday.

Musaib a resident of Khrew Pampore and Muzamil Ahmad Rather, resident of Chakoora Pulwama were killed in an encounter with security forces at Khrew Pampore in Pulwama on Friday. Musaib was a member of HM hit squad responsible for killing of civilians in south Kashmir, including a peon of a government school Javid Ahmad Malik at Lurgan in Tral.

A police spokesman said on Saturday that a tent was pitched outside the residence of Musaib at Khrew, where people had gathered in violation of COVID Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

He said the ten alongwith carpets were seized by the police.

A case FIR has been registered, he said adding those found in propagating false news shall be booked under the law.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic bodies of slain militants are not being handed over to their families. The bodies are being buried by police personnel in presence of some relatives of slain militants in north Kashmir or central Kashmir.
