Report about 60 youth missing after Taliban takeover in Afghanistan baseless, IGP

Srinagar, Sep 1 (KINS ) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range, K Vijay Kumar on Wednesday rejected reports that 60 youth are missing in Kashmir valley after Taliban takeover in Afghanistan.

Refuting the reports on social media, IGP said this is totally fake news.

In a tweet on official twitter handle of Kashmir police zone Mr Kumar said  ” Some Social Media platforms are running that 60 youth have gone missing from different parts of the Kashmir Valley amid the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. This is totally #fake news”.

Only on Tuesday IGP and General Officer Commanding (GOC) 15 Corps in an interaction with the family members of active militants in Shopian requested them to motivate their children to shun the path of violence and join the mainstream for which every help, including sending them outside, will be provided.
