Indian Army conducts Volleyball C’ship for girls

Rajouri, Sept 16 ( KINS ) : Indian Army organised a Volleyball Championship for girls at Dehri Ralyote in Rajouri District to provide an opportunity to local girls of the region to display their sporting talent and acquire a level of self confidence. The tournament was conducted to promote sports activities in the area. A total of eight teams from Dehri Ralyote, Mangal Nar, Dabrote, Kalai, Katarmal, Galuthi and Chamola of the tehsil, Manjakote participated in this mega event with tremendous zeal and enthusiasm. The response and participation shown by populace for the tournament, reflected the strong bond between the Indian Army and the people of the region. Indian Army provided sports kits i.e, Jerseys, Shorts, Certificate of Appreciation and mementos to the participants. The winner and runner up teams were presented with Volleyball Championship trophies. A huge audience of approx 300 in numbers cheered the teams. A large number of Sarpanches and Naib Sarpanches, teachers and parents zeal fully cheered the players.
