Jammu, Sep 28 ( KINS) Indian Army organised a lecture on ‘Role of Youth’ in the society at Nawaz Public, Higher Secondary School, Palma in district Rajouri (J&K). Youth is the future of the society. When the youth contributes his ideas and energy to resolve the social issues, he becomes a capable leader and can also make a difference in the lives of others. Under the ambit of social responsibility towards our citizens, Indian Army through this lecture made residents understand the ill-effects of drug abuse. The individuals especially the youth, were educated about the effects of drugs that harms them both mentally and physically. The participants were also educated about the opportunities available for youth and educational requirements to avail these opportunities for employment and better future. The youth of Palma and nearby areas commended the initiative of the Indian Army and said that such efforts will definitely go a long way in energising the youth and increasing bonhomie in the society. A sizeable gathering got benefited from the event.( KINS)
