DDC Ganderbal presides over Block Diwas

GANDERBAL, SEPT 30  ( KINS)  : To get first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today presided over a Block Diwas held at Conference Hall, Mini-Secretariat here.

During the Block Diwas, PRIs and various public deputations of Ganderbal, Sherpathri and Wakura blocks called upon the DDC and raised their demands of public importance.

The issues raised by the PRIs and individuals include uninterrupted supply of electricity, macadamization of roads, Road connectivity, development of lanes, protection bunds,  better health and education facilities, Fencing of School Grounds, improvement in HT, LT power transmission lines and other related issues.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the demands and grievances raised and assured that all issues within her competence will be redressed as early as possible whereas the other all genuine demands will be taken up with concerned authorities for their resolution.

She also gave necessary instruction to the concerned officers/officials pertaining to their respective departments and directed for ensuring prompt and speedy redressal of the issues raised during the Block Diwas.

While replying to the issues and queries raised, the DDC said that more than 1400 works of public importance have been tendered and asked the PRIs to play their role for early execution of these works so that they get completed at an earliest.

Among others, the Block Diwas was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Pir Muzafar Ahmad, CPO, Irfan Ahmad Giri, ACD, Bilal Mukhtar and Officers/Officials of various line departments. ( KINS)
