Major fire damages CRPF camp at Sanath Nagar in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 9 (KINS) A major fire broke out in a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at Sanath Nagar in uptown Srinagar causing extensive damage to the property, a fire and emergency spokesman said here on Thursday.

He said, the fire broke out in the 132Bn CRPF camp housing in an old migrant property at the housing colony Sanath Nagar during midnight Wednesday-Thursday and engulfed the building within minutes.

Fire tenders from the nearby fire station and headquarters were rushed to put off the flames, the spokesman said

and added that the fire has caused extensive damage to the property.However, no one was injured in the incident.The cause of fire was yet to be ascertained, the spokesman said.( KINS)
