Survey report on MT&NP released in Kulgam

KULGAM, DECEMBER 13 ( KINS): A Survey Report Titled “Survey Report on Migratory Tribal & Nomadic Population of District Kulgam” was released today during a function here at Mini-secretariat Kulgam.

The Survey Report was released by the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr. Bilal- Mohi Din Bhat.

Present on the occasion were Chief Planning Officer, District Statistics, Evaluation Officer, Tehsildar (HQ) Kulgam.

The Deputy Commissioner lauded the role of enumerators, Supervisors and other technical staff associated with field survey, Data Punching, Data Analysis and Report writing.

The report throws light on different aspects of 4627 migratory families, their socio-economic situation, access to basic and essential services like education, health, Shelter, drinking water, family particulars, Sex ratio, Literacy Rate, availability of animal husbandry facilities, route adopted for migration, etc.

The Survey Report aims to provide valuable information about the transhumant population for Planners, Policymakers, Academicians, Students etc.( KINS)
