Police facilitates PCPG meetings in Kulgam

February 03: As a part of Public outreach programme, a series of Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings were facilitated by Kulgam Police at PS DH Pora and PS Yaripora.

The meetings were held under the directions of SSP Kulgam Dr. G.V. Sundeep-IPS and were chaired by SHO PS DH Pora Insp Tanveer Ahmad and SHO PS Yaripora Insp Ayaz Geelani. Besides, other officers and officials of Police Station DH Pora and Yaripora were also present in the meetings. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of DH Pora, Yaripora and its adjacent areas.

During these meetings, the participants raised various issues pertaining to Police and civil authorities. The chairing officers assured them that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority while as the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The participants were also requested to co-operate with Police and administration in maintaining law & order in the area and in identifying anti-national & anti-social elements. The chairing officers also briefed the participants about the apprehensions of spread of Covid-19 and were requested to spread awareness among masses to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB). The chairing officers also briefed participants about preventive measures to contain spread of Covid-19.

The participants in the meetings assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
