Srinagar, Oct 28: Jammu and Kashmir’s Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh Saturday highlighted a significant five-year report, showcasing an impressive streak of zeros: zero collateral damage, zero law and order incidents, and zero civilian casualties.
During the passing out parade of 307 officials at CTC Lethpora in Pulwama district, Singh declared these milestones as the UTs most prominent achievements over the past five years.
He detailed the launch of Operation Capacity Building, designed to equip 43 police stations with the latest weaponary and anti-terror teams. The initiative commenced with 21 stations and has now expanded to encompass the remaining 22, all part of a comprehensive zero-terror strategy.
Three terror incidents were reported in Anantnag, while an astounding 36 police stations achieved a 100% terror-free record, a commendable accomplishment. The enhanced police stations, a result of the Operation Capacity Building, are now equipped with drones, advanced weaponary, and 14-member squads devoted to handling terror-related incidents, fortifying area dominance.
Singh underscored the recent elimination of five terrorists in Machil, Kupwara, pointing to the enemy’s persistent efforts to disrupt peace in J&K. He reassured a robust defense strategy along the border, emphasizing the intent to thwart any threats along the Line of Control.
He attributed these significant achievements to the unwavering support of the public, underlining the J&K Police force’s commitment to safeguarding the community, especially the youth and children striving for a secure future. Singh urged continued cooperation, envisaging a safer and brighter tomorrow.
