Jammu, Dec 15: Sainik School Nagrota experienced an enriching moment with a Motivational Guest Lecture delivered by the esteemed Senior Officer, RR Swain, IPS, DGP Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
Recognized as the highest-ranking IPS officer in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Swain captivated officers, staff, and cadets during an insightful hour-long discourse. His focus centered on the fundamental human values crucial for shaping individuals during their prime years.
As an alumnus of Sainik School Bhubaneswar, Swain shared vibrant recollections from his formative years as a young Cadet, underscoring the seven years spent at the Sainik School as instrumental in shaping his future and fostering personal and professional growth.
The event unfolded with Cadet Aman Kumar presenting a distinguished profile of RR Swain and extending a warm welcome. Brigadier Gurmeet Singh Shan, Director Sainik Welfare Department (J&K) and a school alumnus, added to the occasion’s significance. Capt (IN) AK Desai, the Principal of Sainik School Nagrota, expressed gratitude by presenting the school memento to Swain for accepting the invitation amid his busy schedule.
Concluding the proceedings, Cadet Arush Verma, the School Cadet Captain, delivered a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing appreciation for Swain’s valuable insights. Before bidding farewell, Swain had the honor of meeting the school’s young achievers, including members of the Champion Volleyball Team of the All India Sainik Schools National Games, Gold medalists in IPSC Athletics, UPSC NDA written qualified cadets, and Class Academic Toppers.
