Srinagar, Jan 06: In a significant move against drug trafficking, the Police in Kulgam arrested Nisar Ahmad Ganie and confiscated 3 Kgs of ground cannabis from his possession during a checkpoint operation at Wanpora, Shamsipora.
Ganie, a resident of Hussanporabagh, has been taken into custody and is currently held at the Police Station Qaimoh.
A case under relevant sections of the law has been filed (FIR No. 03/2024), and investigations are underway.
Authorities encourage the public to report any criminal activities, including drug peddling, to the nearest police station or by dialing 112, emphasizing the community’s role in eradicating the drug menace. Police assure strict legal action against criminals in their ongoing efforts to maintain public safety.
