Jatin Kishore Assumes Charge as Director of Information in J&K, Advocates Modernization for Enhanced Communication

Srinagar, Jan 10: Jatin Kishore officially assumed the role of Director of Information in Jammu and Kashmir. Following the assumption of charge, he conducted an introductory meeting with department officers, outlining a vision for strengthening activities and core competencies through the incorporation of modern and new media platforms to broaden outreach.

During the meeting, Director Jatin Kishore emphasized the crucial role of timely and accurate information dissemination to the public. He underscored the importance of fostering transparency and improving communication channels between the government and the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir. The emphasis on leveraging modern media platforms reflects a forward-looking approach to enhance the department’s effectiveness in the digital age.

After the meeting, Director Kishore took a tour of the office complex, engaging with employees and gauging the operational dynamics. This hands-on approach signifies his commitment to understanding the department’s functioning and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Simultaneously, the officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) bid a warm farewell to the outgoing Director, mingasherpa, who has been reassigned as Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla. Colleagues expressed gratitude for Sh. mingasherpa’s dedicated service and wished him success in his new role. The transition marks a new chapter for the department under the leadership of Director Jatin Kishore, promising innovation and efficiency in information dissemination for the benefit of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
